Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Our made-to-order approach has proven successful for us, and there's no compelling reason to change it. This method not only proves efficient but also significantly reduces wastage. Instead of mass-producing garments and employing psychological tactics to push them onto consumers, we craft each item with a specific individual in mind—someone who appreciates our product enough to patiently wait for four weeks. This simultaneously ensures that our products remain exclusive rather than oversaturated in the market.

For the time being, we don't have premises to welcome our customers but we hope to do so one day. The best way to stay informed is by joining our mailing list.

We don't offer traditional bespoke services due to the lack of physical premises, but we regularly create custom patterns for an additional surcharge. While we're happy to accommodate custom requests, we do advise exercising caution as custom orders are non-refundable.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch to discuss your specific requirements.

Each product page provides detailed style notes. In general, we believe that broad shoulders convey power and confidence, and we achieve this by extending the shoulder seam in unlined garments or using shoulder pads if appropriate.
With a few exceptions, we also tend to favor the loose and relaxed fit characteristic of the American sack suit, which involves minimal shaping. We find this style exudes a nonchalant and laid-back elegance befitting of the word sprezzatura.

We are guided by cradle-to-cradle design methodology, which is reflected in our three core principles: 1) the use of natural materials, 2) keeping production local, and 3) maintaining a sustainable pace that allows natural resources time to renew.
We recognize that garments, like all natural things, have a finite lifespan, which is what makes them special. What distinguishes our approach is the consideration for the end of life of our products. Our garments are designed with the intention that they can seamlessly reintegrate into the ecosystem when they eventually reach the end of their useful life. This "cradle-to-cradle" philosophy ensures that our creations don't contribute to the problem of textile waste but instead become part of the solution by renewing the natural cycle.
