Freck Vreeland: style at 96
We met our muse.
It came as a surprise to us, as we didn’t think people of such distinction still existed.
The Honorable Frederick “Freck” Dalziel Vreeland, former Ambassador of the United States to Morocco, and younger son of THE Diana Vreeland. His was the brilliant mind behind President Kennedy’s famous “doughnut” phrase in 1963.
Educated at Groton and Yale, and now the enduring heart of John Cabot University’s Board of Trustees. Father of a Buddhist monk and husband to the vivacious Sandra Zwollo Vreeland.
When it comes to clothing, he favors the vibrant and the airy—shaped partly by his mother and partly by extended time spent in Marrakech and Rome.
He is relaxed and attentive, and always ready to deliver a well-placed bon mot with a twinkle in his eye.
So much life, packed into 96 years.
These days, he spends much of his time reading under the dappled shade of the pergola on his sun-drenched roof terrace in Trastevere. His library, a treasure trove of stories and artifacts, overflows with resonant objets, each a cherished memento from a lifetime of living abroad.
This is how we want 96 to look.

Thank you, Mr. Ambassador, for your support.
