Jersey by Heron’s Ghyll

There is no good t-shirt anymore. This is not a matter of taste but fact.
We wanted jersey pieces that work with tailoring. Not fashion-forward jersey, not statement jersey, just impeccably made fundamentals that disappear beneath a blazer or stand alone with confidence.
What We Look For
Proportions that make sense. The current market favors length-to-width ratios that flatter exactly no one. We prefer a boxier cut—closer to 1.1—that provides comfort without drowning the wearer.
Materials that breathe. Natural fibers aren't a luxury; they're common sense. Particularly when you've experienced the particular misery of synthetic fabrics in humid climates.
Construction that lasts. The difference between intentional texture and cheap deterioration becomes obvious after the first wash. We choose fabrics and techniques accordingly.
Thoughtful details. Non-scratching labels, clean seams, proper sleeve construction. The elements you notice only when they're done wrong.

Our Approach
Each piece uses extra-long staple organic cotton knitted locally. Recessed shoulder seams reduce stress points while maintaining clean lines from the front. Self-fabric tape provides structure without bulk.
The palette remains deliberately restrained: cream, black, gray. Colors that work with everything because they compete with nothing.
No logos. No obvious branding. Just well-made jersey that does its job quietly.
